Modals, bars and drawers built in the block editor, shown by triggers, targeting rules and frequency limits. A standalone plugin that integrates with the KD Web framework through CSS variables and hooks.
Features
- Modals (four sizes, nine positions), bars (top or bottom, sticky, pushing content or not) and drawers (left, right or bottom, with a floating toggle button).
- A different type or placement on mobile, below a global breakpoint.
- Triggers: page load, click, time on page, scrolling, an element coming into view, exit intent and inactivity. A link to
#overlay-{slug} always opens an overlay.
- Targeting groups of rules: page, post type, content, terms, login status, role, referrer, URL parameters, device, IP address, visit number and page views. Works with page caches and CDNs.
- Frequency: dismissal for a visit, for N days or for good, show limits, every Nth page view, conversions, a schedule, and dismissals that follow logged-in visitors across devices.
- Iframe mode for heavy or third-party content, and a captcha compatibility mode for modals.
- Styling through CSS custom properties, with themes and toggle button styles a theme can offer. The KD Web framework maps its tokens and colour themes automatically.
- Page cache purging for LiteSpeed Cache when overlays or settings change.
How to Use
- Install and activate the plugin.
- Add an overlay under Overlays and build its content with blocks.
- Set its type, size, position and rules in the Overlay panel of the editor.
- Open it from a link to
#overlay-{slug}, or let its triggers do it.
- Global sizes and options are under Overlays → Settings.
Requirements
- WordPress 7.1 and PHP 8.4.
